One of the unfortunate aspects of owning homes in the UK at the moment is the fact that value is continuing to fall. Again last month it was reported that the average price fell by 0.6%, but that is not the only bad news to be concerned with. As well, banks are reluctant to lend on mortgage loans as too many property owners are going into negative equity. Homes being devalued are not good news, even though it appears as though it would be possible to pick up property dirt cheap. For those who have outgrown their current living conditions, there is another solution and that is to make useable space from those old conservatories that are no longer growing exotic flowers.
Although they are not habitable in their current condition, conservatory roof insulation solutions can turn that space into a lovely extension of the main home. In fact, done up right, a conservatory can even be transformed into more than just a family room or sitting room. Many homes have gone the extra steps to have conservatories well insulated so that they can become a lovely master bedroom and that is what adds value to a home. Recent surveys of real estate agents have shown that increasing the number of bedrooms is what adds value to a property.
Chartered surveyors state that it does little good to add bathrooms, dens or family rooms and that remodelling kitchens and bathrooms won’t fetch a higher price at the moment either. Turning usable space into bedrooms is the surest way to add value to a home and a Roof Cozy conversion can give that extra space needed. Whether the conservatory is converted to a den so that the den can be used as a bedroom, or the conservatory is converted to a sunny master bedroom with an idyllic view isn’t what matters. The point being made is that bedrooms are what add value to a home and those lucky enough to have a conservatory have the perfect foundation to do so.
